Riots on U

I met Derrick, Phil and Earl about 5 years ago at a venue in D.C. They had come out to see my brother's old band Dirty on Purpose play and we got to talking and have been tight ever since. My little brother and I traveled down for the inauguration and stayed with them. While down there they played us some tracks from their first record as Riots on U, a reference to the riots that started April 4, 1968 directly after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., they used to be the Lucky Bastards but have dis-banded to start Riots on U. The sounds were killer, super lush My Bloody Valentine-like guitars with a hint of Van Morrison on top. Sounded awesome. Can't wait to hear the finished album.
