Boxing

Photographing boxing is F$%#ing hard. You think as a photographer that your timing would be spot on but a boxers whole game is throwing off his opponent's timing. To hit when not expected, to fake and move and stalk. The good ones are very hard to read. I don't like to use the word luck when photographing but I would say, without a stutter, that to get a great, or even a good boxing photo takes a bit of luck. I didn't get lucky yet, but here are some attempts I've made.

When my brothers and I were little kids my parents used to rent this little cabin on a lake in vermont. Loads of friends and family would come each year to grill, swim, waterski, cook marshmallows etc. Over the last few years my mom started renting the cabin again. Here are some of the photos I took from this past august in vermont at that same cabin.
